I recently bought an el-cheapo web cam the brand isUltra-HD PC Video and every time I try to use it an error message comes up saying Sorry byou have no video capture hardware and it's not showing up in device manager. I have re-installed the driver. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would check to see if the webcam hardware is being recognized by the computer. Connect the webcam, then download USBDeview here: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/usb_devices_view.html (I am assuming it is a USB device).

Look for devices that show "Yes" it in the Connected column. If several devices are plugged in, you can use the Last Plug/Unplug Date column to narrow it down. If it shows there but your webcam software doesn't recognize it, then what is shown for Description, VendorID and ProductID?
