I am installing a hard drive, cd rom and cdrw into a new system for a friend of mine. He bought a ECS K7SEM-266 with an AMD 1G Thunderbird processor; 256 mb - 133 Mhz SDRAM. The MB has onboard sound, video and lan.

This should have been pretty simple. The problem is that there is no video signal going out to the monitor. I know it's not the monitor, it's been checked with another system. I've disconnected the cd's, lan and modem for now, just to install the hard drive, but no video.

Any suggestions?

Pretty straight forward: Return the board. And if they don't accept your request, then buy an el-cheapo $30 video card until you got enough for a nice, sleek and sexy GF2 or GF3
