No Video When I Play Any Multimedia File Only Sound

    I don't know what happened I'm good with computers, and I checked all my codec's and everything else, but anytime I play a viedo even if its online I get no picture only audio. I tried to reinstall windows media player and all the codec's and still nothing I even used codec diagnostics and I'm stumped So if anyone can help it woudl be appreciated.

    here are my specs

    Windows XP Professional
    AMD Athlon 64 Dual Core 4600+
    4.00GB Ram
    NVIDIA GEOFORCE 7800GTX DUAL SLI
    1500GB Hard Drive Space 938 GB USED

    Nope I already tried both of those and no picture and the codec's are all green. I don't think its a codec issue I think there is something else. its probably something stupid simple im overlooking...

    I would look toward you vid card and drivers, hit Nvidia's forums.

    I have tried the VLC player and all my codecs are good is there anyone else?

    Try Klite code pack it support most of the video format. Some videos are encoded differently although the file format is supported by your media player but it can read it accurately.
