My Norton 2003 on my son's computer cannot be installed correctly. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it repeatedly. When I boot up it has a notice that says "some of the settings for NAV have been changed, this can mean a virus is trying to disable it" or something to that nature.

I have run NAV and no virus's are detected but I know something is in there. Any suggestions for me??

I am running WIN XP with SP 1 on it.

Thanks for any help.

DL Hijack This, run it with nothing else open, then post the log here in the Security forum.

if that doesn't work it might be spyware/adware try using a spyware/adware program

and if it still dont work try posting a hijack this log

Okay, sorry I didnt get back quicker. I goofed up on my name and couldnt log on..LOL. I tried the RNAV and no luck with that. It still comes up and I cannot put on the Auto Protect. It will click on but then when I leave and come back to it the box is unchecked. Email scanning is also messed up...So,,,,, I have pretty much given up on it. I did find a free virus program called VCatch.. I put that in and it seems to be working so I think I will just forget about Norton and let him use that. He doesnt do much on the internet at all but I go on it occasionally when I am upstairs..

Thanks for all the help. I was too scared to DL and use the Hijack This program.
