i'm having MAJOR issues with norton right now. i was trying to run it the other day, and it said that there was an internal problem and that i needed to uninstall and reinstall it. so i went to add/remove programs, but when i clicked remove, it said that it detected a newer version that needed to be removed before i could install. then i tried to delete it from the program file, but it wouldn't let me. it said "make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file in not currently in use". and...yeah. i really need norton to work.

I,m posting to this to see if you get any help.I have/had the same problem.May be linked to upgrading to antivirus 2004 from norton internet security(I didn't feel the need to have norton's firewall for I like ZoneAlarms free version),may also be linked to the SP2 which Idid install.I have asked Norton for a refund on the 2004 and installed AVG (hoping it will protect me for free).
