I recently unistalled an old Norton Antivirus and installed Mcafee which immediately found over a dozen virus infected files. After I rebooted, I received a message saying that the system can not find "NWNP32.DLL" and that it may affect Netware. Additionally, I found that some of my games no longer worked correctly as well as my Mindspring account. My MIS support suggested that I reinstall Norton, then do another uninstall. I reinstalled norton and everything worked. I uninstalled norton and I had the same problem. Help. Why is my computer so tied to Norton and how do I get rid of it?

I doubt you are using Netware, a Novell client. And the missing dll shouldn't affect game playing at all. Nor is their any obvious relationship to Norton antivirus.

But you may have some problems with Dialup Networking which could be resolved by removing and reinstalling it through Add/Remove programs. You will need your Windows CD or to point to c:\windows\options\cabs when prompted for a disk.
