Per Microsoft there are "known" issues using Norton Anitvirus and Zonealarm. They claim it may be the cause why my computer sometimes freezes when trying to switch users or log off, but then again it could also be a hardware problem.

Has anyone had this problem? Can anyone out there suggest a better anitvirus and firewall to use with XP? Is "spyware" necessary for a home user? If so, are there any good, free ones out there?

the best combo to use on XP is Norton antivirus 2002 and firewall 2002. It must be 2002 the old 2001 wont work. They work well 2gether and I've had no probs
