Even though I have my Norton Internet Security 2005 set to automatically update, it seems that *I* can't update it when I click LiveUpdate -> Start. It connects and finds the updates which displays this:

The following Symantec products and components are installed on your computer.

Since the above is less than helpful to me, I clicked "Click here for more information on this error."

All that did was send me a link to here: http://service1.symantec.com/suppor...e=english&module=LU&error=1806&build=Symantec

Again, this did not help me as I AM logged in as the Administrator. I did what the link said which also confirmed that yes, I AM the Administrator. I have no idea what is going on. The one thing I DO know is that, once my subscription expires, I am swifty removing all things related to NIS from my computer. On a side note, I regularly update and run AdAware, Spybot, SpywareBlaster, SpywareGuard, eTrust Pest Patrol, Webroot SpySweeper, CCleaner, MS AntiSpyware Beta and have no adware/spyware/trojans/viruses.

I apologize for the length of this post. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wow. I figured my post got buried since I got no replies. Thank you for replying, I really appreciate it. Nope, I never found a solution to this and I have no idea what's causing it or what to do about it. Any ideas?
