    Hello folks,
I know what norton security scan is, that it is an on demand only virus scanner, which is what i need as later in the week im going to begin building a server and i am going to use an on demand only scanner (its only in a local netowrk in my house so it doesnt need bulletproof security but I still want somthing that will atcually remove what it detects which begs the question whether norton security scan will atcually remove nasties or will it just find them then become a walking billboard for norton. If it is only a finder, what can i use for on demand only which will atcually remove the viruses.

My question with steady state is whether its a good idea with the server or not. I figure it would be good to set to only protect the operating system drive. This will make sure in theory that the OS cannot be corrupted or somehow damaged and pretty much any trouble with it can be fixed with a simple restart. Is this practical?

I guess that is about it, thanks for all suggestions.
