We have a compauq that we are trying to install an updated version of Norton 2003 on, It had Norton 2001. We deleted old version but keep getting error messages trying to put in the new on. We get it to Update system files and it tells us to restart but then says it couldnt update the files and thats all it does. So I tried to put back in Norton 2001 and got this error message .... MSIEXEC.EXE file is linked to missing export MSIDLL:222. What does that mean and how do I fix it??
    Winter592:rolleyes:

    Welcome to TSG!
What we need to do first is see if MSI.dll is on your system in C:\Windows\System folder
Do a search\find and type in MSI.dll in files and folders window.

Let us know if the file show up there or for that fact anywhere.
