not sure if im in the right place...i have somehow put 2 windows on computer

    i have somehow put winxp proff on the computer at the same time winxp home is on here....i was just tryingto upgrade not start a whole new partition...how do i get rid of the new winxp pro service pack2 that i just put on there...without hurting my wixp home...i have a hp pavilion mx 70 so it came with no boot disks or anything...

    Well this is what you can do but please read every step carefully, especially since you don't have boot disks.

    Go to Start>Run, type msconfig, click on the Tab that says boot.ini.
    First try to click on "Check All Boot Paths" to see if windows will automatically clean the boot.ini it's a 50/50 chance. If it does then delete the file you don't want under "Operating Systems". You can read more on this subject here http://support.microsoft.com/default...;en-us;Q289022.

    I would also advise you to make yourself a boot disk http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/.

    i havent been on for a while...but i was unable to get rid of the xp proffesional that i partitiond on there...is there anything else i can do?
