I have Alltel DSL internet connection. For some odd reason the DSL router will terminate the connection and I will have to reboot the router. I have brought this issue up to tech support but I get the same old "Well, It could be a number of things ( duh really?), but you are showing a good connection and there is no packet loss."

I have run this DSL modem in router mode and in bridge mode and it does this crap in both modes.

I know the wiring from the box outside is good I installed it myself.

Any ideas?

Your ISP will only connect to you in one mode or the other so only set it up to their specs as far as bridged or routed. Do you have your username and account set up in your router to keep the connection alive?
