    Hi all.

I have a computer of which I don't know what kind of power adapter it requires or rather the name of the adapter that goes in. A dell laptop charger fits in but this doesn't suffice to power it. If I know the type that goes in I should be able to buy the new adapter.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello DFxAngelz,

Please post the brand and model name or number of the computer itself, we can do some research then.

Please re-read post #4 and make use of the provided link.

The exact product number will tell us the exact model number you have.

According to that product number, you have a Compaq CQ2000UK Desktop PC.
    http://support.hp.com/us-en/product...-PC-series/3832626/model/3886616/product-info

According to its product specifications section, it uses an external 65W power supply.

Amazon appears to have a replacement power adapter for that model desktop.
