since i had to reformat and reinstall windows (yes i have all the recent updates), when i would view this particular website and select any of the stories there would be an auto slide show that would run for each story. for some reason i can't get it to work any more.

The particuliar site you pointed us to is running JavaScript 1.2 for display of the Images. Couple of items you may want to try.

Since I do not know what OS you have or IE, go to IE\Tools\Internet Options\Security\Internet\Custom Level and in and make sure you have JS section Enabled.

If all is enabled then you may need to download and setup Virtual Machine. I know you said you retrieved all the MS updates but maybe this on was missed or possible corrupt.

Go to this thread Post number 4, download and setup.
