note pad problem

    can someone help?????

    something happened and every time i try to open one of the major functions on my system(xp home) including ez antivirus, control panel or msoffice it comes out in note pad and wont allow me to access it!!!!

    i dont understand well enough to fix the problem and it is beginning to irritate as i cannot do anything i cant even use messenger

    thankyou oheck,
    im not sure what i did but it appears to have fixed the problem...
    i ended up shutting down the user account on the pc and opened up a new on keeping only the info i wanted and everything seems to be working. YAY!!!

    thankyou again for your help and no doubt i will do something stupid soon and stuff up my computer.

    had a problem with shutting down the user account...

    when i shut down the user account on my pc i seem to have lost all the games like Solitare, Freecell, Hearts etc.... can i redeem those files from the xp cd that came with the computer or have i stuffed the thing and do i need to take it in and have it serviced? ....good at this am i?

    sorry for any inconvenience i cannot believe that i did this... if someone could help me with this, that would be wonderful
