NT4 no login box

    When booting an NT4 SP6a machine, it gets to the login screen, but the 'press ctrl alt del to login' box does not appear. Even pressing the keys does not help, although I can switch on and off the num lock and caps lock, so it would appear that the keyboard can be seen.
    The PC is attached to a Win2KSBS network with no other problems.
    There were no indications of any faults preceeding this, as far as I am aware.
