I have Windows XP Pro on NTFS and both of my hard drives are reporting less free space than they should.
When I pull up the properties for the drive, it says 104 GB used, but when I pull up the properties for all the contents of the drive, it says 56 GB used. When I delete files from the drive, I do not gain any free space.
I've set my hidden files to be visible, I have purged my recycle bin, checked for spyware and viruses, run chkdsk and norton disk doctor. I am going to try removing Norton Antivirus to see if that helps.
Does anyone have any other ideas?
