ok heres the beef... i got one pc, we will call it pc A, this pc connects to the internet via NTL's USB modem. I have then got another pc, called PC B, that connects to pca via a hub.

PC A can connect to internet when network card is disabled but when its enabled can not connect

pc a can see pc b when nic on but not access internet.

NTL are as much help as usual!!

PC A needs to have internet sharing configured in order to be able to have PC B access the internet.

The NIC (ethernet) card in PC A probably has a default gateway configured, but shouldn't. That is why when it is enabled, you can't access anything on the Internet. The default gateway for PC A should be pointing to the other end of the modem connection (this still means that the configuration for the NIC should NOT have a default gateway configured, it needs to come from the modem config after it is connected to the internet).

Otherwise the network between A & B sounds like it's working fine.
