NTLDR missing 98se

I have just changed my hard drive on my 98se computer the hard drive is second hand I formmated the drive and started to re-load 98se but when i am asked to re-boot I get the NTLDR missing and the computer will not work
I have tryed all that I know can somone help? :confused:

Hi I have formated the hard drive 4 times but the problem is still there?

The hard drive seems to contain an NTFS partition. You must repartition the Hard drive and remove all partitions, including the Non DOS partition. Once done, create a primary DOS partition and make it active. Once done, reformat the new partition and proceed with the installation.
