    Hello All

I am getting a nasty ntoskrnl error on a windows XP Pro Laptop while trying to boot up.

Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:

    <Windows root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe

please re-install a copy of the above file

    - I have replaced the ntoskrnl, modified the boot.ini and also tried the fixboot in repair console...

3 strikes and I'm out of ideas right now

oh I also tried the last known good configuration boot.

If I install on top of the current windows will I overwrite all the documents and profiles already set up?

Is there a way to get it to boot up??

    Thanks in Advance
