Hi, I was wondering if a buy a usb numeric keypad would I be able to use it in conjuction with my normal desktop keypad and if so would it replace or duplicate the keyboards num pad or would the keys be assignable to other function in say a flight sim for instance.

I normally play flight sims and find it awkward to have to reach across may chest to use the keyboards numpad as it is designed for right hand use. When I am flying I always have my right hand on the control stick so taking it off to use radar functions assigned to the numpad is a pain. I'd like to keep the keyboard assignments as standard as possible so I was wondering if I could use a numeric keypad to replace the keyboard numpad so I could situate it on my left side so I would then only have to take my hand off the throttle unit if I wanted to manipulate my radar.

Also on a side note, would adding a usb numeric keypad add new keys that could be assigned to functions? Is it possible to use 2 keyboard on one machine or do they always just replicate each others functions.

Thanks for any info anyone can provide.
