Is the nVidia 4200 ti series older than the nVidia FX series?
I am pretty sure the nVidia 4200 ti series is older than the nVidia FX series, but am not certain. Thanks in advance for any responses.

As I remember it they are right about the same age.
The FX were often nothing more then overclocked Geforce 3s, and were over priced at that!

The FX were the budget line which sold along side the Ti line.

    I could be wrong, but thats how I remember it(had a 5200fx in a 1Ghz P3)

I heard a lot about the FX5200 being crap, but the FX5900 was a definitely a good card (I have one in my other computer, plays Doom3 no trouble).

And I'm pretty sure the Ti's came first, then the FX's.

The FXs were crap in general!

I think the ti's did come first, but only by a month or two it seems. So really about the same time.

Actually it was years I thought I'm sure it's on their site somewhere, was more than a few months. I agree the FX series sucked excluding the last ones made, the 5900 and 5950 models where they worked out the kinks.
