My memory could very well be off. Between the Gforce 4s, Ti, 4200 MX/ 5200 FX and a million other strangely badged things I won't pretend to remember them all!

What I do remember is how putting my GTS back in got me right back into great framerates for Red Alert 2 and Aliens VS Predator 2, as well as Counter Strike of course.

Not too long after I made the one way trip to ATI and have had more then excellent experiences thus far. The grass seems greener on the Red team.

And I am glad everyone likes the car analogy... It just seemed right at the time.

    Go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_Nvidia_graphics_processing_units#GeForce_4_series

If you look at the FILL RATE, you'll see that NONE of the GF4mx series that surpasses the GF2gts or better. the MX series has 3 digit numbers.

I have a pretty good memory... as you can see, my old GF4-Ti4200 murdered the GF3 and any GF2. I paid less for my 4200 than I paid for either the GF2Pro or GF3 :(

    $125 - Voodoo1 - Unreal was why I bought my first true 3D card.
    $100 - 3Dfx Banshee
$150 - 3Dfx Voodoo3 (us Bansee people would anger V3 people by calling it a Banshee2, which is more accurate)
    $140 - TNT2
    $150 - GF2mx
    $175 - GF2Pro
$200 - GF3ti200 (stupid names, eh?) I miss that card...
    $150 - GF4ti4200
$000 - ATI 9800Pro (an order mix up, I got one for free - back when its was $400)
    $175 - GF7600GT (fanless)
$ 90 - ATI 4670 (and easily more powerful than the $500 leader, ATI 1900XTX from 12 months before)
