While playing a game (JKII) my computer kept locking-up and then unlocking until it just froze. When I restarted my computer, an error report showed up saying it was my video card. This is the error report:

My driver is updated! That's what caused this problem. I also have Direct X 9.0.

And Detonator Destroyer didn't work. It said that it "cannot be run on this platform!!!". Is it because I have Windows XP?

I use the 29.42 drivers on my same card and it works better than any other driver from the 52.16 down.

That's what I wanted to say. The new drivers suck compared to the old drivers. The new drivers keep locking up my games and then unlocking until it lags like hell! I want the 29.42 drivers back but I can't find them and I can't restore them because they were for my old Windows 98SE.:( Can you tell me where to get the XP ones????

No that didn't work but it stopped the locking up... Instead the games just lock up without returning to normal but I can play for longer:)... And when I restart I get this error report:

I also have a problem where my computer locks up for a while and then I get this device error thing saying (not word for word but close enough): "Windows has recovered from a device error. Please reboot for full functionality" and the resolution goes to a 640x480xa small amount of colours(4-bit?). Could it possibly be a virus or a hardware problem rather than a driver problem????

    P.S: Sorry, the actual card is a nVidia GeForce 2 MX/MX 400 NOT a nVidia GeForce 2 MX 200/400

You are using the 28.84 version and not the 29.42 I told you to try.
