My problem is with a GeForce4 MX440 8x64 DDR w/tv-out installed in a Compaq Presario 5000, I get a resouce conflict message that tells me to
use another resource or IRQ in order for my video to work. I can't find any way around this so that my video card can work. Anyone there that can help me with this problem???

Do you have all the motherboard drivers loaded? There should be bus mastering, which should allow IRQ sharing...

Also, you may try disabling a unused come port to free up an IRQ for you to use.
