Nvme drives/optane

Hi..

I built a computer a while ago..gigabyte aorus pro wifi..i9..

I put two nvme drives in it recently..
They're not running in RAID though, as the drives I had in it weren't..

My question is should they be in RAID?..Could i use the intel optane memory if they were in RAID?..
Would they be much faster?..I'm loading samples from them so speed is important..

Anyway,
Any help would be appreciated,
