NVMe not recognized in bios or windows 10

hi. I bought a NVMe drive Samsung EVO 970, and instlled into my Acer Aspire A315-21 and upon entering the cmos i find that the drive is not recognized, i booted to windows only to find that its not in my computer or anywhere. SO I'M AT AN IMPASSE AS WHAT TO DO, Not seeing the drive in windows 10 or the bios has got me stumped. Can i get some help please.
