After upgrading from a Win98 to a Win2000 PC, I am unable to refresh data on an Excel file that is on stored on a file server. I get the following error: [Microsoft][ODBC driver manager]Data Source Name not found and no default driver specified I just cancel out or there after that. Funny thing is if I log in as Administrator, I have no problems. So, its pointing to a permissions thing, but don't know enough about this area.
Thank you for your help

I'd say that last link looks to be the closest. I'd install MDAC 2.5 or later. Reinstalling MDAC resolves a lot of ODBC probs.
