Hi this is kind off an odd problem my computer is running windows xp and for some or other reason my logon link has dissappeared . I have the normal login screen wich shows my name but there isnt a link to log in to windows its just the bootscreen with my name and nothing else. Could it be a virus or that my user account has become corrupt if so how do I fix this with out reinstalling windows. Also I get the same problem in safe mode. The computer displays the welcome screen with my name and the administrator but no where to click for login please this is urgent!!!!!

Can you logon at all?

If not do this:

1 Boot up your computer.
2 Press CTRL+ALT+DEL twice
3 This will display the "Classic" logon prompt temporarily.
4 Type Username and Password and click OK
5 If you want you can at this stage remove the Welcome Screen.
