I have Windows XP, MS Works and OE 6.

In the OE 6 Tools/Options the spell check tab is missing.

The Windows XP/MS Works/OE 6 came as a package with my new Gateway and the spell check was working.

    Can someone explain?

    Thanks Jerry

I've tried Spell Checker for Outlook Express and that doesn't work either.

Did you try an uninstall and reinstall of Outlook Express?

No Stanley I have not. Ididn't want to loose any emails or address book entries. I was saving that as a last ditch effort.

    Hi jlski

Uninstalling and reinstalling Outlook Express would most likely be a waste of time.
Does spell check work in MS Works?
Can you recall what changes occurred in your system before spell check quit working?

    See these links:
    http://dundats.mvps.org/Internet/OutlookExpr/OE_Spell check.htm
    http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/spellcheck.htm

I was able to copy csapi3t1.dll from another directory into the following directory:
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Proof
Reboot and Spell check worked immediately.

    Let us know what happens.
