No its been replaced by Windows Mail.

And in a while Windows Live Mail, will be released which you download to either Vista or XP, in place of Windows Mail or Outlook Express in XP, if u want too. Right Now its in Beta.

Why did they do away with identities?

Microsoft is encouraging people to use separate login accounts to create separate Mail "identities".

That's stupid. So I have to make different login users to see my mail instead of just using different identities? How many addresses can you have in windows mail? I believe in OE you could only have 32.

I liked OE, too, but since Windows Mail was not to my liking, I went with Mozilla Thunderbird. Very similar to OE.

    Eudora is good, too.

You use different logins for different people, not different e-mail accounts.

Does Thunderbird have different "Identities" like OE, as I don't remember that?

Well, I'm happy now, but wasn't always. There was no clear way for me to import the OE settings except through csv files that had to be formatted so that the fields aligned. Took a while, but I managed to import my address book and contacts eventually.
