I usually buy OEM disks for new machines to use on my old pc which is running Windows XP professional, Office 2000, has lots of space, working OK.

This OEM for Office 2003 had a dell label.

It is official MS, holograph and proper label, so I expected it to work, as other discs had.

This one OKs the CD key on a dell machine but not on several PCs I have put it into. It sends a message that the key is wrong.

Is there any trick--like a file I can load to make it go ahead and use the disc? Microsoft used to look for a few files and then load properly.

Thanks for any help you can give-- my only alternative is the reselling it hassle

Sorry, Libby. Don't mean to sound rude, but OEM software is intended to be sold with a PC. Don't buy it. :)
