Maybe because "We are currently running Windows 7." It might be better to use an up-to-date server and use your old computers as just workstations ( "remote terminals" ).
Without knowing why this setup was chosen, what the alternatives are, who makes the decisions, what the budget is, etc., I don't know that any of us can really make any recommendations.
ummm this is precisely my issue. None have us have any idea why he set it up. I understand Windows 7 is old, but I am not the tech guy at the office, hence why i resorted to this website. I was asking for solutions or help. Not sure why you need to know my budget to offer solutions. I will gladly determine what it is we can pay for, and not you. So again any solutions or articles on this would greatly help.
The consumers of your office, should be a real concern as their personal information is 100% under his control and not your company's.
