Hello,

so i had some previous problems installing service packs, but to my knowledge they both eventually went through. Now my computer (a toshiba satellite running on windows xp) keeps prompting me to download service pack 3 and then it keeps starting but then erroring out. last time i tried going to windows' website and i downloaded the "full file" because apparently my system was missing a neccessary file, and things seemed to be going well but then i recieved the following error:

Error 1402. setup cannot open the registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\OptionalComponents\IMAIL
Verify that you have sufficient permissions to access the registry or contact your computer manufacturer’s product support for assistance.

i searched the error on windows website and they thought it was something to do with user profiles??? i only saw directions for ME and 2000 so i didn't know what to do. please help me, thanks!
