Ok am i in serious trouble??!!

    I just bought compaq presario sr1820nx and a westinghouse lcm-178

    i keep getting a error saying no signal input and computer just turns off on its own !!

    i have checked the back of the monitor and the cpu and the cords are secured

    have i bought something that is no good??

    what could be causing this?

    My wife has an 1810nx. When we got the first one, it was DOA. It had an error that Staples had never seen before. I was "graphics accelerator failed", and the PC would shut down. We returned it, they gave us a new one, and it was/is fine. If you have the receipt, give that try.

    I'm sure Best Buy will check it out before an exchange then you will know right there in the store what is wrong
