    They are at it again, in recent weeks I got a lot of phonecalls, claiming I won a free 2 week holiday in the Bahamas, just have to answer a few questions, but if I want to be removed from their phonelist, just press 9.:mad::mad:

    I nearly forgot and wanted to tell them my opinion, but then I remembered about the press 9 scam. So I just want everyone to be reminded, that now they claim, to be removed from their list, DO NOT PRESS 9
    :eek::eek:

    Now you let them know your phone number is good so your be at the top of the call list.

    Get on the Do Not Call List if you have them up there in Canada because they can help a whole lot. Also if you do talk to anyone you can warn them that your on the Do Not Call List so please do not call again.
    Once your on the Do Not Call List you have to wait for all the phone list to get updated.

    thanks Harry, we are on the list but it does not seem to matter. I just don't want anyone to push the 9, there are a lot of stories about that on Google.

    Thanks for reminding us! =) But could you post the whole phone number? And reporting it on http://www.tellows.com would be good too!

    Unfortunatly the numbers whoever calls from, are "unknown"
    Being on the "Do not call"list also doesn't help. I usually hang up on them, Just never push "9".

    The problem with the "do not call lists" is that they have to make your telephone number available to the spammers so they can tell them not to call that number. Yeah, good luck with that. :rolleyes:

    True and if they keep calling you can ask then to please stop. I had going on some months back and it one that was calling each day and more then once a day and hang up. Then if you cann them no one would answer. Well I then started to pick up and had guy just hang up on me after asking then to stop calling. Then go a lady another time that was nice and said she would take the number off the list and they did.
    So it never hurts to ask them and you may have to do it more then once. Just be nice how you do it.

    If I am alone and they call I usually tell them in sailors language not to call again. It works. :D
