I share my screen normally with another participant, they can see the whiteboard, but they can't write on it or interact with it in any way. How do I get the settings right so the two of us can work on that same whiteboard?
Hi, thanks for this. I did this yesterday, but the other participant wasn't able to interact and draw on it. I have everything just the way it was, so I'm guessing she didn't have it set up right. (she's 11, usually the kids are pretty sharp with tech stuff, but she hasn't used the Zoom whiteboard before.) So my question would be: does she need to do anything on her end, as far as the sharing protocols, etc.? My assumption was that I, as the host, take care of all that.
Possibly, or perhaps the type of account may be preventing her (i.e. you have a premium account and she has basic). I can check with my Zoom experts here to confirm.
We both just have basic. I didn't see any statement that the option is not available without the paid account. Yes, please clarify, and I appreciate it.
My guys here said that there should be no reason for the whiteboard not to work for others that you share to. Can you try it with someone else to confirm it does work? If it does, then it may be something on her side that is preventing it from being used.
That's an excellent idea, and I will do that and report back. I did ask her yesterday to check her connections, and she said everything looked good. Of course I can't see her desktop but if I determine it is working with someone else, I can have that person screenshot the settings at least.
