    Hi all,

We have three computers running on our network in my apartment. A few days ago, the connection speeds of my computer have been far worse than usual, and the other two computers have not. I will be watching a stream or trying to load web pages and it's almost as if the connection freezes or drops for several seconds. And this happens constantly. Roughly two or three times a minute. The night before this started happening, Google Chrome told me an extension called Facetheme was trying to install itself. I said no, made sure to uninstall it via add/remove programs, and didn't think much of it. I went to sleep right after this. The next morning is when I began noticing these issues. I dunno if it's related to facetheme, but I thought it was worth a mention. I'm running Windows 7. Any suggestions?

have you tried another browser, like Internet Explorer ?

also you could try running chrome with no add-ins

    Google Chrome browser.
Click the "Menu" icon in the toolbar.
Click "New Incognito Window" to open Chrome in Incognito mode with your extensions disabled. Chrome continues to run normally in the first window.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I didn't explain it wholly. It's not just the browser that suffers. For example, when I'm playing League of Legends, my ping usually stays around 70. However, two or three times a minute, now, the ping skyrockets to 2 or 3 thousand and I will lag heavily for several seconds.

have you tried connecting to therouter with a cable and see if that has issues - helps eliminate if a wireless only issue

also (sometimes wireless does not work with wireless )
    - try safemode with networking
as the PC starts keep tapping F8 - a menu appears - choose
safemode with networking - see if that works

    For windows 8
