A computer on a Network(of 150 computers) starts sending out syn calls trying to reach this one IP address(with the firewall blocking them). It's not an address that can be found by doing a Whois. After investigation, Symantec anti-virus has not received an update since October of last year(but the syn calls just started). We have ran AVG, A2Square, ClamWin, and Kaspersky anti-virus and nothing found. We have ran AdWare, SpyBot, HiJackThis!, and CWShedder. And there were only 27 tracking cookies found. Nothing that would indicate that something that is wrong. We actually took the drive out of the computer and then scanned it as a second drive in another computer(risking that computer) just to make sure there wasn't anything starting in the background(tried safe mode and that didn't get any different results either). I'm pretty sure that it is a polymorphic virus, just wanted everyone's opinion. Thanks JLand

Hi, I would be checking for email type worms like Bagle...

This tool is pretty good at finding them>

Try an online scanner: One or the other often finds things that are missed:

Panda lets you save a Report text file called activescan.txt when done, if anything is found you could post the contents of that text file in a reply if you need to.

A Hijackthis log might also be helpful.

    Has the newest version, 1.99.
