One long continuous beep

    The PC speaker just beeps when I power on my computer. Nothing happens just one long continuous beep. HELP!:confused:

    Usually memory or video card.
    Try reseating your memory or trying just one module at a time.
    Try your video card in another slot.

    Do you know what kind of BIOS your computer has?

    Its easy to find out when the computer is open, just look for the chip thats about 1cm x 2cm that has a sticker on it reading
    AMI BIOS
    AWARD BIOS
    etc

    Then you can check their website and see exactly what the code means...but 99% of the time its memory or the video card.
