Before I knew that OneDrive is a built-in app, I tried to delete it from my new computer. That didn’t work. I disabled some aspects, but OneDrive is still holding my Folders and appears on my backup separating Documents and Downloads/Music Folders--just a bit unsettling to me. I would prefer to keep things clean and neat.

I found a few disable/uninstall articles on the internet and YouTube, and tried the safe ones (none worked fully). The others involve changing the registry, but were not recommended for Win10 Home, which is what I’m running, nor were they recommended for novices like me to try.

I would hate to mess up all the tweaks I’ve made to my new machine by making a mistake in the registry. Is it possible for me to remove vestiges of OneDrive without putting my computer in jeopardy?

    Please help. Thank you.

Well, you did it again. Success!!

I read and followed the instructions to Uninstall OneDrive, which did not work, initially, probably because I had already butchered OD. It wasn't listed in Add/Remove, Apps and features, nor Uninstall Programs.

As you suggested I read the whole article and decided to take the next step...reinstall it using the directions found in the article. I completed the reinstall, closed it, and then UNINSTALLED it. THAT WORKED...fingers crossed.

I didn't tell my wife yet, but when I do, she is going to say, "You should have contacted the Tech Guys yesterday, like I suggested."

    Thank you, again.
