Hey! We are currently using Dvd avenue. & while I'm mostly happy with them I was wondering if anyone had anything good to say about the other services? I researched several, but opinions were about 50/50 on them all. I live in NE ohio, anyone got a rental place that would be Fast to us, or has the "I sent them back send me more" online e-mail option? Thanks guys!- P.s. Dvd ave has "big people movies" ;) , but we can do without them if we were getting more movies a month.

we just saw this advertize on tv and thought it might be nice. The movie rental place is quite a little drive for us...it would be nice to have them delivered to the house. We would probably rent more often if we didnt have to worry about the extra trips back and forth to pick up/return them. Do you have a link Lisa? I can google if you dont get back to me.

Is the one we are using right now. For three movies at a time it's $19.98- you keep them as long as you want, & they pay shipping. These guys are in Maryland. It takes about 4-5 days round trip for us to get new movies (from the time I send them till the time we get new ones). We have had decent luck with them, but there are supposed to be ones that will ship new ones out as soon as you e-mail you have sent the others back.

Netflix is very good. Initially they had teething pains like any business which has to expand at a rapid pace to maintain viability. They built a warehouse near me (I get movies in a day :D ) and its going non-stop 24/7-365. What you have to determine is if you would spend more then 20 bucks a month renting movies from the local BlockBuster. If the answer is yes then you should consider giving Netflix a try. You don't like it you can always cancel.

Before we got sattelite we spent $60 bucks renting movies one month - and that was just the ones I had written checks for! I will check out Netflix. I had just heard bad things about them, but I'll give them a shot! There is also one in Ohio, but I would guess that the probably don't have the selection the other two places have.

Here is the comparison site, it was pretty helpful. http://www.dvd-clubs-easy-comparison.com/

thats a nice site, Lisa. I'll have to check out netflix too. I'm not sure if it will be worth it for us or not. We rarely rent movies but I know the kids have lots of movies they'd love to rent if we would let them.

They have ps2 games there too, which is nice as my daughter is just starting to take an interest in playing them.

I just saw that Wal-Mart has a 4 out plan for $21.95. Not even 2 bucks more than the place we have now & we only get 3. + they have 6 centers! I think I'll try them out. I'll let you know what happenes. If anyone has used them let me know!
