Friday morning windows installed several updates on my work computer, most of them being Windows Defender stuff. No problems that day. Monday morning I come in and I could no longer connect to the internet, only our Local network.

The first thing I tried was to system restore prior to those updates. It removed all but one (KB915597). Windows says this cannot be uninstalled once it is installed.

I also googled this extensively and one of the fixes I tried was to go into Services, and both the wired connection and WLAN connection were set to manual and disabled so I set those both to automatic and restarted the computer. Still no internet access.

Even booting in safemode I have no access. I've run multiple virus scans, rebooted our modem (we don't have wireless), etc, etc.

Here are some logs I thought might be helpful in solving the issue. If anything else is required, I'll post it asap.

How come you have an "outside" IPv4 address ? Don't you have a router ? Inside addresses start with "192.168" or "172.16" or "10.0"

What firewall or security suite is, or ever was, on the system?

Not sure about the IP address.

All I have for antivirus is AVG, Malware Antibytes, and Windows Defender. They've never caused a problem before. I tried disabling avg and windows defender with no luck.

Uninstall AVG and run the Remover. You can reinstall after testing if you desire.

I reformatted the hard drive, did a fresh vista install, got all the most recent drivers installed, still no Internet. Comcast remotely reset the router and saw no problems. Other computers wired to the modem have no connectivity problems. At my wits end.

Your ipconfig /all showed a public IP address, but now you are talking about a router?

Please show another ipconfig /all and also one for another computer (if it is running Windows) connected to the same router.

I'm sorry, modem not router. We have a modem and a switchboard for connecting multiple Ethernet cables.

You're paying for multiple public IP addresses?
