1.
Used Norton 2001 Clean Sweep, (Registry Sweep) and did not back up files.
Now when I open my browser (IE6) the drop down menu bar has disappeared.

2.
Norton Utilities when opening gives a script error message that refers to a file (dll) in the plug in directory.

The computer is a compaq and I do not have the OEM software for the sound card, etc., or I'd delete and reinstall windows.

Any genius out there that knows how to replace missing registry keys please help.

If it was just a registry cleanup, you have just removed references to files, not the files themselves.
Just restore the registry to a date prior to the CleanSweep.

Win98 - Restart to DOS > Scanreg /Restore
