I am running MS Windows 98. I'm also connected up to INTERNET explorer through cable. My question is: When I save an image in bmp, tub or psp format I can not open these files. Does it have to do with the properties? Help!!

How do you go about saving the files? Do you save them as "XXX.bmp" or whatever...meaning, do you have to type in the ".bmp" or does it have a choice of where you are going to save?

Try this, right click on a picture, and go to "save picture." Then, see what it has for "save as type:" . Save it to your My Documents folder and see what it has it in there as...

Thank you for your help. I have saved images to different formats. There are times that you can not save it as a different format and they will only let you download it as their format. I have gone to settings..folder options...to file types. I have it so I can open a bmp with my paint program, according to this setting. When I go to a site and save an image as bmp to my documents and than try to open it, I can't. I have a feeling it's something very simple, but I'm over looking or looking to hard for the answer. This also happens when I save a psp and tub image. Any clues?
