Whenever I open IE8 from a link in the Favs menu (Start/Favs) the window opens not maximized so I must click the "Maximized" button in the top right corner to fill the screen. I could resize the window to fill the screen in that mode, but I would prefer to have it open maximized to begin with. Is there a setting for this function?.

BTW... FF opens a Favs link maximized when I have it set to default browser

What happens when you just fire up FF from a icon or the start menu?

Remember that most browsers will remember the the last size the pane is when last closed. BUT, it will NOT remember the last one that was "Maximized", so you need to drag the pane to the size you want.

FF opens maximized (see post #1). I tried the routine of closing IE with the window maximized and that works just fine with any launch method except from the Start/Favs menu.
