Whenever I open a link not in my browser and from another application my computer either goes very slow or freezes.. When I open mozilla thunderbird and click a link it freezes and i have to close it with task manager. This happens every time.

On the other hand, when I open a link in Xfire it doesn't open automatically and usually takes at least a minute to do so. It's like the thing forgets that I clicked it because there is no waiting signal, it just kind of ignores my command.

Any one have ideas on how to fix these things?
I've tried reinstalling xfire and nothing changed.
Also my computer is free of malware and stuff.
