Office 2013 stops installing and shows this prompt "this operating system is not presently configured to run this application". The computer is a Lenovo laptop Ideapad Windows 7 Home Premium. AMD Turion II P540 Dual-Core Processor 2.40 GHz. 4 GB RAM. 64 bit. I have reinstalled the OS and uninstalled the bundled Office 2010 prior to attempting to install Office 2013.

Uninstall Office 2013.

Then run the Office 2010 uninstall Fixit from here; https://support.office.com/en-sg/ar...653-b358-67e1b766fc4d?ui=en-US&rs=en-SG&ad=SG

Then run the Office 2013 uninstall Fixit from here: https://support.office.com/en-ie/ar...77a-8fcc-2fdf5dbf61d8?ui=en-US&rs=en-IE&ad=IE

Then visit Microsoft Update and install all available updates, including most optional updates unless there's a few specific ones you don't want. Repeat until all updates are installed and there's no more updates. Verify that SP1 is installed.

Reinstall the latest Office 2013 package: https://products.office.com/en-us/get-office-oem-download-page
