I'm looking to start a new build for gaming mainly, while I don't need the latest and greatest I do want something that will last for awhile and perform adequately for me.

I've already got my video card so no need to buy another, just need a new CPU, motherboard, and memory.

I'm looking to spend around $400 total and I know that won't be the greatest but it will do I think.

Any advice on a combination I could go for from say, Newegg?

    Thanks

$400 is kinda pushing it for a normal computer. As for a gaming computer, you'll need a few hundred more.

Not really interested in overclocking, I just want something that will last which is why I asked.

What power supply, graphics cards, case, hard drive, optical drive, and operating system are you going to pair those with?

I just bought a GeForce GTX 650 1GB GDDR3 Superclocked card, not top of the line by any means but my current system can handle BF3 decently.

Windows 7, Don't remember the exact model of my PSU, but I know it's adequate, and if not I'll buy another.

What is the make and model of the PSU? What about all the other stuff? Do you already have that and will it be compatible?

If you're not overclocking it, don't get a "K" series processor. That will save you some $$$ and it'll last just as long.

What exactly is wrong with that one? I've put it through hell and back and have had zero issues.

After doing some research, it looks like an OK PSU. The 78% efficiency is a bit bad, though.

I usually disregard a PSU if it doesn't have at least a 80 Bronze sticker on it.
