I have two DVD drives on my pc. When I eject the disk in one drive, it says that it is prepairing to eject and takes several seconds to eject.

I can put the same disk in the other drive and it will eject immediately.

Does anyone know why the two drives act differently?

How long it takes to eject depends entirely on the make & model of the CD drive; Some can do it more quickly than others.

(Please don't shoot me down in flames by saying both of your drives are the same model!)

They are the same name but not the same model.
They both have the same driver listed in device manager.
One came in the pc and I installed the other.
